Miami Basketball Wives Threatening To Walk

The “Basketball Wives” are drawing a clear line in the sand for the network execs — either up their salaries or they’ll walk.

We’re told filming began last week for the 5th season … but Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Tami Roman and Suzie Ketcham do NOT have locked contracts.

According to our sources, the “Wives” are in the process of renegotiating their contracts and they all want major pay raises, claiming the show does quite well for the network.

Our sources say VH1 is refusing to pony up more cash. We’re told before filming started, execs made it clear that salary increases would not happen and if any cast member had a problem with that … they could be replaced.

Despite the deadlock, we’re told production schedules were sent out and the girls began filming in hopes a deal would be worked out shortly. So far, a deal has not been reached and neither side is budging … so we’re told the “Wives” are planning to walk out next week if VH1 can’t agree to the terms.

Calls to VH1 have not been returned.

Maybe BBW will be replaced with a quality show.Wait we don’t want quality we want untalented drama.Vh1 pay them girls!

‘Basketball Wives’ star Tami Roman settles $800,000 child support lawsuit

Looks like “Basketball Wives” star Tami Roman is cashin out!  As TMZ reported on Sunday, it appears TRo has settled an $800,000 child support lawsuit with her ex-husband and former NBA star Kenny Anderson.

Roman got her first taste of semi-fame back in 1992 by appearing on the inaugural season of MTV’s “The Real World” back in 1992 and began dating Anderson shortly thereafter, with the couple eventually having two daughters together. Continue reading

And The Three ‘Basketball Wives’ Getting Fired Are…

Following some issues away from the cameras, the masterminds behind “Basketball Wives Jumpoffs” look to be overhauling a good bit of its cast for the upcoming fifth season of the show, including some fan favorites, as we previously reported.

According to a new report from TMZ, Royce Reed, Jennifer Williams, and Kesha Nichols are all going to be saying goodbye to their drama-filled lives with the rest of the “Basketball Wives” cast for a variety of reasons. In the case of Reed and Nichols, it is just due to them not being exciting enough to take the series to the next level. Meanwhile, producers are apparently unhappy with Williams suing Nia Crooks over the “slap incident” from this past season, and they don’t want to deal with drama that takes place in a courtroom rather than on-camera.  They are putting out a pretty strong message to everyone; beating each other for the camera is fine and if you want to retaliate, make sure it’s with punches, not court papers. VH1 announces “BBW” finale and reunion dates

VH1 has announced the much-anticipated (we think) air dates of both the “Bball Wives” Season 4 Finale and the “BBW” Reunion Special.

After a season filled with bottle-throwing, bullying, legal press conferences, name-calling and petition-writing, VH1 is ready to bring season four of “BBW” to a close with their finale and reunion specials.

According to the press release, the finale airs on Monday, May 28th at 8 PM, where we see the conclusion of the anti-vacation trip to Tahiti and what plays out between Jen and Evelyn…

What we can’t figure out is who the hell fights in Tahiti?? Give us a trip to Tahiti and watch how we act. We’ll show you!

R&B singer Monica supports “Basketball Wives”

Although, VH1′s ‘Basketball Wives’ has been criticized for the past two season because of the shenanigans, ratchetness and false perception of what a basketball wife is, there are still some folks that are very supportive of the show (We can’t lie – we watch it faithfully). One basketball wife in particular that shows support is singer Monica Brown, wife of Phoenix Suns guard Shannon Brown.

Hip Hollywood recently asked Mo for her opinion on the show and she revealed that although the show isn’t a reflection of her life, she respects the cast for living their truth in front of the cameras. Continue reading
