Lil Wayne released from hospital after seizure scare, takes to Twitter

urlLil Wayne is alive and tweeting.

Tweets appeared on the official Twitter page of the 30-year-old rapper today reassuring fans of his improving health.

“I’m feeling a lot better and again thk u all for ur love and prayers. It was truly felt…pause,” the tweet said. He also shared that he was watching “Highly Questionable” on ESPN 2 earlier today.

Weezy was hospitalized last Tuesday after suffering multiple seizures.

Late last night, Mack Maine, the president of Lil Wayne’s record label, wrote on Twitter that his close friend and business partner had been discharged from his Los Angeles hospital after a nearly weeklong stay and was headed home. Continue reading →

Maxwell Cancels Tour Due to Vocal Problems

Maxwell has cancelled his short U.S. tour after developing vocal swelling and hemorrhaging.

A representative for the R&B singer said Friday that he has been advised by doctors to rest and undergo treatment. Maxwell’s six-date summer tour had shows planned for Los Angeles, Atlanta and Newark, N.J. for July and August.

Maxwell said in the statement that cancelling the tour “sucks” and he plans to hit the road when his new album, “blackSUMMERS’night,” is released later this year.

The 39-year-old made his return to music in 2009 after a seven-year break with the platinum album “BLACKsummers’night.” It won the singer-songwriter two Grammy Awards, among other accolades.

The statement also said refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Now…..our question is…how were ticket sales for this event because as much as we love our boy Maxwell, we weren’t ready to part with $100 to hear some “new” music. That boy better drop another album first!

No U Ain’t! Judge Turns Down Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s Request To Leave Jail

After his lawyer claimed that his physical health was rapidly deteriorating because he can’t eat the prison food, doesn’t have access to bottled water, is only getting 800 calories a day instead of his usual 3,000 to 4,000 and only has an hour to exercise, a judge has ruled Floyd Mayweather Jr. will stay in prison.  Only 10 days into his 3 month sentence Floyd’s lawyer Richard Wright filed the motion hoping to get the fighter placed on house arrest or get him moved into general population where he will be able to move around more freely.

Nick Cannon diagnosed with disease

As we previously reported, Nick Cannon has been suffering multiple health issues for the past several months.  According to multiple reports, a lupus-like disease is to blame for Cannon’s health scares.
