Chris Smith Of Kris Kross Reflects On The Loss Of His Rap Partner Chris Kelly

Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith is paying tribute to his now-deceased groupmate of nearly 20 years, Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly.

“Chris Kelly was my Best Friend,” he said. “He was like a brother. I love him and will miss him dearly.”

He went on to say that their friendship was much deeper than their music career.

“Our friendship began as little boys in first grade. We grew up together. It was a blessing to achieve the success, travel the world and entertain Kris Kross fans all around the world with my best friend,” he continued. “It is what we wanted to do and what brought us happiness. I will always cherish the memories of the C-Connection.”

He concluded his statement by giving one last shoutout to is rap partner: “KRIS KROSS FOREVER, the ‘MAC DADDY’ and ‘DADDY MAC.’”

Kelly passed away of a suspected drug overdose on May 1st. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 9th in his hometown of Atlanta, Ga.

We are still in shock over this!..RIP Mac Daddy!

Janet Jackson’s marriage no longer a secret

Janet Jackson knows how to keep a secret: The singer has been married since last year.

A representative for Jackson confirmed Monday that the musician and Wissam Al Mana wed last year.

This is Jackson’s second secret marriage. She secretly married Rene Elizondo Jr. in 1991. They separated in 1999.
The 46-year-old Jackson first tied the knot when she was 18 to singer James DeBarge, which lasted three months in 1984.
In a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight, Jackson and Al Mana said their wedding was a “quiet, private and beautiful ceremony.”
The couple also said they would like privacy and “are allowed this time for celebration and joy.”

Man charged in R&B singer Bobby V’s carjacking

Police say they’ve charged a man with armed robbery and vehicle hijacking in the carjacking of an R&B singer in midtown Atlanta.

Authorities say singer Robert Wilson — known as Bobby V.  parked a red 2013 Bentley outside the Hot Beats Recording Studio Tuesday night when police say he was approached by two armed robbers. Police say Wilson complied with the men and they drove away in the car. The Bentley was later found abandoned at a commuter train station.

Police said Thursday that Robert Unrico McFarland was being held on the robbery and vehicle hijacking charges and charges of aggravated assault and having a firearm during the crime. Fulton County Jail records do not list an attorney for McFarland.

Police said they’re still searching for a second suspect.

Obama 2013 Inauguration: President Sworn In For Second Term

On a day of prayer, pledges and parties, President Barack Obama heard cheers in the streets of the capital Monday as he returned to the White House from a morning church service and crowds massed on the National Mall in anticipation of his encore inaugural address.

Obama aims to set an optimistic tone as he takes the oath of office and speaks to a divided nation seeking solutions to economic woes at home and conflict overseas. The fanfare will extend across the nation’s capital, including the traditional inaugural parade and a pair of glitzy formal balls.

Obama and his family, along with Vice President Joe Biden, arrived at St. John’s Episcopal Church on a crisp and clear morning in the nation’s capital. Known as “The Church of the Presidents”, St. John’s is located just across from the White House on the other side of Lafayette Park. Pew 54 is known as “the president’s pew” and is reserved for the commander-in-chief whenever he attends services.

The centerpiece of Monday’s festivities would be Obama’s inaugural address to the crowd in Washington and millions more watching on television. The president will urge lawmakers to find common ground when they can, and preview his second term goals, including comprehensive immigration reform, stricter gun control laws, and an end to the war in Afghanistan. Mathew Knowles Threatens His Secret Baby Mama, Now She’s Suing

Beyonce’s dad Mathew Knowles emailed an ominous threat to the mother of his 2-year-old son — or so the woman claims, and now she’s gunning for him in court.

Knowles’ baby mama Alexsandra Wright filed legal docs, asking the family court judge to up her child support to cover expenses for security to protect their kid. Mathew is currently on the hook for $12k a month.

Wright claims she needs security because of a “threatening” email Knowles sent her back in September 2011, in which he wrote, “You hurt my family. There’s a price to pay.”

According to the docs, Wright also wants additional dough to cover expenses for a secure, private school.

Sources close to Knowles tell TMZ … he faithfully pays child support, adding the only reason he hasn’t paid expenses for schooling is because they haven’t agreed on the school.

We’re told Knowles thinks Wright’s latest legal move could backfire because his income has drastically decreased since the original order was issued. As you know, Beyonce gave him walking papers in 2011.

Knowles believes the judge could actually reduce his monthly payments.

Like Beyonce said “You shoulda put a ring on it”  ”oh ooh oh oh ooh oh oh ooh oh oh oh”….
