Usher to play Sugar Ray Leonard in upcoming film

Usher Raymond has been a busy man lately!  Aside from having a chart-topping single out right now, the singer is gearing up to play boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard in the upcoming film ‘Hand of Stone’, which chronicles the life of Panamanian champion fighter Roberto Durán.  The singer will star opposite of Oscar winning actor Robert DeNiro and Gael Bernal. Jamie Foxx possibly starring in a new biopic based on Rick Ross

It looks like we are going to have another drug dealer biopic!  This time it may be based on the life of Los Angeles drug kingpin ”Freeway” Rick Ross.  He recently secured Snoop Dogg to score the soundtrack for his upcoming Nick Cassavetes-directed biopic, and now it appears he’s enlisted some even bigger star power.

The notorious drug dealer-turned-community advocate recently posted a photo of himself arm-in-arm with Jamie Foxx on his Facebook page, accompanied by an ambiguous caption hinting that the ‘Ray’ actor may be depicting Ross in the film about his life. Continue reading
