David “The Dictator” Stern has vetoed a trade that would have sent Chris Paul to the Lakers for the second time, David Stern attempted to critically wound the Lakers chances of acquiring Chris Paul and Dwight Howard by not only asking for Lamar Odom and cash he requested an addition Andrew Bynum to the deal as well which crippled the deal instantly.
This further proves the huge conflict of interest that exists when a NBA franchise is owned by the NBA, The Lakers and Rockets offered a deal that would have made the Hornets a better team than they were last year even without Chris Paul. Hornets head coach Monty Williams and Hornets Gm Dell Demps were excited to complete the trade that the Lakers and Rockets were offering as it would have infused the Hornets with a nice mix of youth and veteran leadership without taking on toxic contracts. The Lakers have now turned their full attention to the possibility of acquiring Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic since the Lakers have long been believed to be his preferred destination.
We just received word from a reliable source in Los Angeles that the next time David Stern has a doctors appointment in Los Angeles his Dr. will be switched out for Conrad Murray. Lets just hope he gets the sniffles soon.
