Metta World Peace Suspended 7 Games By The NBA!

Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace has been suspended 7 games by the NBA for a vicious elbow that hit Oklahoma City Thunder guard James Harden in the head. Metta World Peace claims that the elbow was unintentional and that he never would have attempted to hurt any player.

“The concussion suffered by James Harden demonstrates the danger posed by violent acts of this kind, particularly when they are directed at the head area,” Stern said in a statement. “We remain committed to taking necessary measures to protect the safety of NBA players, including the imposition of appropriate penalties for players with a history of on-court altercations.”

Metta World Peace has a checkered past that includes multiple suspensions  his most famous infraction was the brawl between the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons in Auburn Hills,Michigan November 19,2004. Metta World Peace at the time was known as Ron Artest played for the Indiana Pacers when he went into the stands and began fighting with fans in the stands.

No one seems to know why Metta World Peace threw that wild elbow but we have a theory if you watch the video closely it appears that James Harden’s Rick Ross beard and Mr. T Mohawk attempted to bite World Peace on the elbow. So in reality it was self defense, hell it worked  briefly for George Zimmerman why not World Peace?

Kobe Bryant and Gilbert Arenas Teaming Up Soon?

Our sources have confirmed that the Los Angeles Lakers are in talks with ex Orlando Magic point guard Gilbert Arenas, Arenas is coming off of two subpar seasons with the Orlando Magic he was once one of the most explosive scoring point guards in the NBA before suffering a myriad of injuries. Steve Kyler NBA beat writer is reporting on twitter that Gilbert Arenas is saying the deal with the Lakers is going to happen.

If Arenas has anything left in the tank this could be a good pickup for the Lakers especially since the Lakers current starting point guard Derek Fisher couldn’t guard a fire hydrant that’s chained to the ground. Stay tuned for more info because David Stern hasn’t received permission from Michael Jordan and Dan Gilbert to approve this contract offer for Arenas to the Lakers.

Chris Paul Finally Gets Traded To LA….

We are pretty sure you thought when the title said “To LA” it would be followed by Lakers. Nope! Chris Paul has been traded to the Los Angeles Clippers for Eric Gordon and a couple loose parts and spare nickels. Michael “Sucka Move” Jordan came out again today with his praise of David Stern for not trading Chris Paul to the Lakers. MJ’s reasoning for it was “We felt that small market teams should be allowed to keep their players and trading Chris Paul to a large market team like the Lakers is what we were trying to stop”. Apparently MJ must not have used the time he had between shooting jumpshots and the legs of the next Becky to learn geography, because MJ sorry if no one told you this, The Clippers and Lakers play in the same market, a matter of fact in the same building.

Chris Paul was so desperate to get away from New Orleans that he begged to be traded to the clippers. Now thats a first. A player actually begged to be traded to the clippers. Next thing they will report to us is that the Lochness monster has been found, aliens exist, and Al Sharpton doesn’t have a perm, its just “good hair”.

Kobe Bryant Reacts To Lamar Odom Trade

The Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant reacts to the recent trade of Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks.

Apparently Kobe is a little upset with the move that Lakers management made, especially only receiving a trade exception from the Mavericks without them having to give up a player. Rumor has it that this deal was a lot better than the one David Stern offered the Lakers for Lamar Odom that deal was Lamar Odom to the Hornets for a tube sock and a Laker wave cap, but Mitch Kupchak the Lakers general manager turned that down immediately because he was actually hoping the commissioner would add a $5 foot long to the deal.

Lakers Give Up On Chris Paul Trade Now Going After Dwight Howard

David “The Dictator” Stern has vetoed a trade that would have sent Chris Paul to the Lakers for the second time, David Stern attempted to critically wound the Lakers chances of acquiring Chris Paul and Dwight Howard by not only asking for Lamar Odom and cash he requested an addition Andrew Bynum to the deal as well which crippled the deal instantly.

This further proves the huge conflict of interest that exists when a NBA franchise is owned by the NBA, The Lakers and Rockets offered a deal that would have made the Hornets a better team than they were last year even without Chris Paul. Hornets head coach Monty Williams and Hornets Gm Dell Demps were excited to complete the trade that the Lakers and Rockets were offering as it would have infused the Hornets with a nice mix of youth and veteran leadership without taking on toxic contracts. The Lakers have now turned their full attention to the possibility of acquiring Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic since the Lakers have long been believed to be his preferred destination.

We just received word from a reliable source in Los Angeles that the next time David Stern has a doctors appointment in Los Angeles his Dr. will be switched out for Conrad Murray. Lets just hope he gets the sniffles soon.
