‘Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe’ has provided Kendrick Lamar with a lot of success in the past year. That track and his critically acclaimed 2012 album “good kid, m.A.A.d city” ensured the 25 year old’s number one spot on MTV’s HottestMC’s list.

Maybe that’s why Jay-Z has decided to jump on the track. Rap’s hottest new star meets rap’s resident legend has hit written all over it. Unfortunately we’ve only been given a preview of the track so we’ll have to wait for the whole thing.

Hov’s engineer Young Guru dropped the fresh new remix at the SXSW festival yesterday (Wednesday) to a very excited crowd. As soon as the full length clip, minus Guru’s random chatter, appears we’ll let you know

Rihanna Mourns The Loss of Gran Gran Dolly; Chris Brown and His Mother Send Their Condolences

Early this morning (July 1), Rihanna took to her Twitter and sadly announced the death of her grandmother Ciara Brathwaite – more affectionately known by family as Gran Gran Dolly – after a tough battle with cancer. Rihanna had been traveling back and forth between shows and Brooklyn where her grandmother lived to visit her for the past few months and chronicled her travels via Twitter and Instagram.

In her grief, the Bajan starlet shared photographs from her childhood, rise to stardom, and more recent visits featuring her beloved Gran Gran Dolly and received well wishes from her fans as well as Joyce Hawkins, her former boyfriend Chris Brown‘s mother:

Jay-Z Rooting On The New York Yankees

Jay-Z was feeling it last night while watching the New York Yankees play the Detroit Tigers during Game 5 of the American League Division Series at Yankee Stadium. Wearing a gray hoodie, Yankees snapback, and Jesus piece, the Brooklyn rapper rooted for the home team, who were defeated 3-2. Shawn will soon be cheering in his own arena when the Nets, the basketball team he co-owns, move to Brooklyn next year.
