Hector ‘Macho’ Camacho is brain dead, doctors say

Famed Puerto Rican boxer Hector “Macho” Camacho is clinically brain dead, doctors said Thursday, though they said family members were disagreeing on whether to take him off life support.

Dr. Ernesto Torres said doctors have finished performing all medical tests on Camacho, who was shot in the face Tuesday night.

“We have done everything we could,” said Torres, who is the director of the Centro Medico trauma center in San Juan. “We have to tell the people of Puerto Rico and the entire world that Macho Camacho has died, he is brain dead.”

He said at a news conference that the family expects to say by Friday if Camacho should remain on life support.

Torres said Camacho’s father has already indicated that he wants the boxer taken off life support and his organs donated, but one of his sisters opposes the idea.

“This is a very difficult moment,” he said. Continue reading

It looks like the drama between 50 Cent and ex-bestie Floyd Mayweather is heating back up!

On Thursday, rapper, 50 Cent fired the first shot via his official Twitter account, confirming the rumor that he and Floyd Mayweather were no longer friends and were not, in any way, partners in his upstart boxing promotion venture.

“TMT IS OVER. The Money team is no longer a team,” 50 Cent wrote. “I’m no longer a part or down with TMT Promotions. If anyone wants a Money Team jacket I’m selling mine for a dollar.

Recently, 50 also used the Twitterverse to indicate that his fighter, Yuriorkis Gamboa, wants to move up in weight to take Mayweather out.

Leaked Letter Reveals Origin of 50 Cent vs. Floyd Mayweather Beef

A boxing website has obtained a copy of a letter sent to Floyd Mayweather on July 24, 2012 while he was incarcerated from his business associate Tommy Summers that seems to show that he was trying to convince his friend to join him and 50 Cent in their new The Money Team (TMT) Promotions venture. We’re not sure how this surfaced since in the letter Summers asks Mayweather to tear it up after reading, but in the letter he encourages the boxing champ to split from long-time adviser Al Haymon because he did an underhanded deal, and join the new venture so he can rake in over $100-$200 million a fight.

When asked if he would participate in the fight, Brown said, “Yeah, I would. I would.” Brown’s acceptance of the boxing opportunity comes after David offered to pay the winner of the fight $9 Million Dollars and the loser wins $1 Million.

“We are very excited at FilmOn.TV that Chris Brown has accepted to fight his nemesis,”
said David. “Should Drake accept the $ 10 Million Dollar challenge to go toe to toe for three rounds against Chris Brown, both fighters will be put through training leading up to the Las Vegas event in September. They will be trained by iconic names in professional Boxing history.”

In a press conference on June 29, 2012, the Billionaire Media Mogul was set to make an offer to Chris Brown and Drake and surprised everyone by increasing his initial offer from $1 Million Dollars each of the stars to $10,000,000; the loser of the fight will receive $1 Million and $9 million will be awarded to the winner.
