Move over Steebie J the girls are back.
Taking the screen for a second season, VH1′s “Basketball Wives LA” rebounds with new friendships and fresh additions to the team. Familiar faces returning are Jackie Christie, Gloria and Laura Govan, Malaysia Pargo and Draya Michele. Other friends also join in to make season two even spicier than the first.
Sisters Laura and Gloria try to mend their strained relationship, which has been tenuous due to the pressures of their chaotic lives. Gloria faces a turning point in her acting career and finds herself at the brink of her first big role, but will this push her relationship with Laura to the edge? Laura has a hot new figure and is set on making big life changes. Jackie attempts at making amends with the group, but has too much damage already been done? Malaysia makes good on her promise to step out of her comfort zone and pushes herself to hang-glide, skydive and more. Draya juggles a booming modeling career and the launch of her own swimwear line. And of course, another year means another vow renewal for Jackie and Doug Christie with the theme sure to blow the other 16 celebrations out of the water. “Basketball Wives LA” premieres Monday, September 10 at 8/7c!
You know where we will be on monday nights!
From the looks of things the vacant spots in the “Basketball Wives LA” cast are starting to fill up. Last week, we posted that model and former “acquaintance” of NBA baller Rashad Lewis, Brooke Bailey, was joining the crew and now VH1 has confirmed there will be another new face on the second season of the show. Meet Adi B aka Bambi.
Bambi is a model/ actress/ and rapper who has a video out for her track “Look at Your Body,” which also features BBWLA cast member Malaysia Pargo who she said in an interview with Secret Language TV is her best friend (both were born and raised in Compton, CA).
As far as we know, Bambi hasn’t had any affiliation with any basketball stars, but we’re sure she’ll bring some juiciness to the new season.

The season two cast of Basketball Wives LA (including newcomer Brooke Bailey) posed together in their best poolside fashions to celebrate Brooke’s birthday at The Bikini Swim Club in Los Angeles this past weekend. Missing from the photo is Imani Showalter who is reportedly not returning to the show. Is that Doug Christie’s crazy wife Jackie Christie to the far right? We were hoping they would’ve gotten rid of her too. Check out the pics below for more of the cast — some of these ladies have been working out hard. Some of them could do a few more sit-ups, squats and lunges. Who looks the best?
According to TMZ Several “Basketball Wives” are adamantly refusing to tape the big upcoming reunion show next month, TMZ has learned — and it’s all because of the face-slap lawsuitJennifer Williams filed against Nia Crooks.
Jennifer is suing Nia for assault and battery over a January 21st incident at a race track in Florida — when Nia slapped Williams in the side of the head after a nuclear argument (below). Jennifer says she was injured badly during the attack.
But according to sources at VH1, the castmates are convinced Jennifer’s lawsuit was filed out of spite and desperation to dredge up drama around her character — in the vain hope of securing a spot on the show next season. Our sources also think Jennifer’s claim of emotional distress is BS because she never missed a day of shooting.
We’re told several prominent cast members have vowed to shun her completely … refusing to even speak to Jennifer — and are threatening not to attend the reunion show early next month if she attends.
And there’s this — the contract signed by the “Wives” castmates specifically states …. “Participant expressly assumes the risk of any physical or emotional injuries participant may suffer as a result of participant’s participation in the project.”
We think this feud should go on pay per view. Holla at us Basketball Wives, Bball Jump off’s or what ever ya’ll call yourself, we will help you promote the event. Proceeds will go to The “Getting a better weave foundation”…

Basketball Wives LA cast member Laura Govan fled to Orlando to be with her on-off again fiance Gilbert Arenas after the first season of taping the show. However, from the looks of it, she may be returning to the City of Angels if Gilbert gets signed by a los angeles team. Over the past few days, rumors of the Lakers inquiring about the possibility of adding Gilbert to their roster has been heating up and the Lakers head coach Mike Brown recently confirmed that he made a call to see what his status is.
Laura hasn’t confirmed whether she will be returning to the hit VH1 reality series, however she’s featured in the latest issue of J’Adore Magazine were she dishes on her beef with Shaunie O’Neal and her current status with Gilbert.
