Frank Ocean Announced As Performer At MTV VMA’S

New Orleans singer-songwriter Frank Ocean could quite possibly be having the best year ever.

After crafting songs for Beyonce as well as his own debut, Frank Ocean was just announced as a performer at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

Although it’s not clear which song Ocean will perform, it will most certainly be a track from his lauded album channel ORANGE. The Odd Future member was nominated three times this year for his solo work. Frank received nods in the categories of Best New Artist, Best Male Video, and Best Direction. If Frank Ocean wins the coveted Best New Artist moon man, he will keep the trophy in his Odd Future camp. Tyler, The Creator won it last year.

Along with Ocean, the performers include Taylor Swift, One Direction, Pink, and Alicia Keys, who is slated to perform the title track from her upcoming album Girl On Fire. be sure to watch the MTV Video Music Awards with us and the rest of Twitter on Thursday September 6th at 8pm.

The Barb, who sat next to Kim Kardashian and Beyonce, made us question why their assets have ever been a factor.  Of course, Twitter went nuts with talk about Nicki’s well endowed back side.

Beyonce Not Happy With Mindless Behavior’s Lauryn Hill Diss at The 2012 BET Awards

Comedian Mike Epps and R&B boyband Mindless Behavior co-presented the award for Best R&B Artist last night at the 2012 BET Awards, and made a jab at Lauryn Hill’s recent tax woes in their dialogue. Beyonce, who ended up winning the award, was reportedly NOT pleased about the remark and decided to change her acceptance speech on the spot to honor the legendary singer.

So let’s start with The Diss — Comedian Mike Epps and the group Mindless Behavior were co-presenting the award for Best R&B Artist when Mike jokingly tried to sing.

Jay-Z Playfully Taunts Beyonce At the 2012 BET Awards + Jay-Z Pulls a Kanye West on Kanye

One of the more light-hearted moments of the 2012 BET Awards, was a playful exchange between Beyonce and hubby, Jay-Z who were both up for ‘Video of the Year’. When it was announced that both Jay-Z and Kanye West beat her in that category, Beyonce jokingly hit Jay and laughed. Moments later, during Kanye’s acceptance speech, Jay literally pulled a Kanye and interrupted him saying:

“Excuse me Kanye, I’m gonna let you continue, but…”

Beyonce To Perform At 2012 BET Awards?

So it looks like Beyonce will be at this year’s BET Awards. And rumor has it that she may very well hit the stage.

Although, she hasn’t been announced as an official performer at this year’s show, there are whispers in the streets that she will take to the stage as part of this year’s huge Whitney Houston tribute.

Manuel A. Mendez, who’s part of her wardrobe team, was the first to break the news that she would be at the show when he tweeted to fans that her team was getting her BET Look together:

What would the hottest chick in the game wear at #BETAwards? The hive is working working!! #Behive you wont be disappointed.

Meanwhile, BET’s Stephen Hill is doing a great job keeping the secret performers under wraps. When he told by a fan that the show needed more R&B performers and it was running the risk of being another ‘Hip Hop Awards’ show, he responded:

Really?! D’Angelo. Chris Brown. Whitney Tribute. Usher. Maze. Someone else we haven’t announced yet.

Beyonce is currently nominated for 6 awards, including Best Female R&B Artist, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year (for two videos), Video Director of the Year and the Coca-Cola Viewer’s Choice Award.

Other big names scheduled to grace the stage of this years show include, Brandy (who is rumored to be a part of the Whitney Houston tribute), Kanye and his entire G.O.O.D Music, Nicki Minaj, Maybach Music Group, Yolanda Adams, Cissy Houston (as part of the Whitney Houston tribute), D’Angelo, Usher, 2 Chainz and Chris Brown.

It looks like Queen Bee is sick of these small fries trying to claim her throne. She’s about to show them how it’s done!
