Oklahoma Thunder star Kevin Durant is donating $1 million to the Red Cross tornado and disaster relief fund to aid the victims of massive storms that devastated the greater Oklahoma City region Monday.
The All-Star forward has made large donations in the aftermath of tragedies and natural disasters in the past. In 2010, he donated $100,000 to the Athlete Relief Fund for Haiti, which paired Durant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and others to offer direct contributions to those directly impacted by earthquakes in Haiti.
Also, the NBA and its players’ association announced Tuesday that they will donate $1 million to support the relief efforts.
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp pledged $1,000 per home run hit between Monday and the Major League Baseball All-Star break in July to the Oklahoma storm victims.

Chad Ochocinco is officially our favorite athlete. He has such a huge heart. A few months back he treated 200 of his twitter followers to dinner, and now he is trying to ease the pain of a mourning widow. A woman named Cheryl took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, hurting over the recent loss of her husband of 30 years. She tweeted @Ochocino asking for his prayers.
Here’s the conversation that followed. If it doesn’t give you at least a mild case of the warm and fuzzies, you must be evil.
Chad is a wonderful man and it looks like his kindness has rubbed off on his wife to be. What a kind thing for the couple to do for a total stranger. We hope Cheryl’s gloom is lifted and we wish Chad and Evelyn nothing but a lifetime full of happiness.

The woman peddling naked pictures of Terrell Owens pleasuring himself over Skype details her experiences with T.O. and explains why she’s decided to put him on blast.
Check out what Rhymes With Snitch is reporting via Philly Gossip:
T.O.’s Skype buddy said she met him on Twitter when she complimented his appearance and they began direct-messaging there before moving to Skype.
During their first Skype encounter, the woman claims, Owens was already naked and erect when the video call began. She estimates watching Owens pleasure himself on 10 separate occasions during which she denies exposing herself or talking dirty.
She says Owens would “tell me things he wanted to do to me.”
We asked why she was trying to sell the pictures and brief video clip, and it turns out it’s because Owens stopped responding to her on Skype, she says.
“He was getting back with his girlfriend and sent a few replies like, ‘Who is this? I don’t know you,’” she said. “The money is a bonus, but he needs to know not to do stuff like this.”
Dear athletes….when will you learn to stop pleasuring yourselves in front of random jump offs?
After his lawyer claimed that his physical health was rapidly deteriorating because he can’t eat the prison food, doesn’t have access to bottled water, is only getting 800 calories a day instead of his usual 3,000 to 4,000 and only has an hour to exercise, a judge has ruled Floyd Mayweather Jr. will stay in prison. Only 10 days into his 3 month sentence Floyd’s lawyer Richard Wright filed the motion hoping to get the fighter placed on house arrest or get him moved into general population where he will be able to move around more freely.
Magic Johnson has done it again! Earlier this year he promised to fill the Black television void when he announced that he would launch his own cable channel on Comcast. Now he is part of a group that has acquired the Los Angeles Dodgers. WHOA!
(Via MarketWatch) — A group of investors led by former Los Angeles Lakers basketball star Earvin “Magic” Johnson won an auction to buy the L.A. Dodgers baseball club late Tuesday for $2 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported. The price topped the previous record for a sports franchise, set three years ago at $1.1 billion paid by Steve Ross for the Miami Dolphins football team, the report said. The report named Johnson’s partners in the deal as Peter Guber, Stan Kasten, Bobby Patton and Todd Boehly.
This makes Magic the first Black owner in Major League Baseball! Congratulations MJ…teach these other “players” how to do it BIG like you!!
