Rock the Bells will mark its 10th anniversary with some very special guests:  The traveling hip-hop festival will take a page from Coachella’s Tupac hologram last year and feature “virtual performances” from the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Eazy-E.  According to Pitchfork, the former N.W.A. rapper will “perform” alongside Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, while Ol’ Dirty Bastard will be joined by his former group the Wu-Tang Clan, who have reconvened for a new album planned for a July release.

Other acts set for Rock the Bells include Common, Black Hippy (Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock), Rakim, Talib Kweli, Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown, Curren$y, Juicy J, Kid Cudi and Tyler, the Creator.

Rock the Bells kicks off September 7th and 8th in San Bernardino, California, and will make stops in Mountain View, California (September 14th and 15th); Washington D.C. (September 28th and 29th); and Rutherford, New Jersey (October 4th and 5th). More artists will be announced next month. For more information, visit Rock the Bells’ website.

Hip-hop mogul Damon Dash is so deeply in debt that he claims in court documents he faces imminent eviction from a rented mansion in suburban Carmel, N.Y.

“I am currently several months behind in paying my personal bills,” he wrote Tuesday in the 5-page filing. “For instance, I am currently over $100,000 behind in rent for the only home in which I live and at risk of being evicted.”

Dash lost a pair of multimillion-dollar Tribeca lofts to foreclosure in 2010, with $7.3 million left on the massive mortgages.

In a sworn statement asking a judge not to garnish his wages, Dash disclosed:
- He pays $24,000 every three months to his ex-wife, fashion designer Rachel Roy, for child support of their two kids, and to cover money owed on the lofts.

- New York state forces Dash to send another $4,341.10 per month for support of his son, Christian.

- He paid nearly $20,000 in garnished wages in late 2012 for other debts.

It’s been a while since we got some new tracks from The-Dream, so we’re not mad at the 18-song tracklist that hopefully won’t disappoint.  The album drops May 28th!

Reports indicate that the series will follow Cee-Lo and the rest of the Goodie Mob (Big Gipp, T-Mo and Khujo) as they work on their reunion album, “Age Against The Machine.”

Michael Wright, head of programming at TBS, said “This new TBS series will give viewers the chance to get to know Cee-Lo Green, who is without a doubt one of the hardest working men in show business. ‘The Cee-Lo Life’ is certain to be a smart, fun and funny journey packed with a lot of great music.”

Goodie Mob formed in 1991 and their debut album “Soul Food” was released in 1995. Three albums later, Cee Lo left the group in 2004 to pursue a solo career. Goodie Mob released “One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show” that same year (minus Cee Lo) and had poor reception from the fans with Cee Lo absent and led to Big Gipp leaving the group. The last album in 2005 “Livin Life as Lumberjacks” was released by T-Mo and Khujo under the name The Lumberjacks, which was the original name of the group before the addition of Cee Lo and Big Gipp. Then after years apart, a reunion album “We Sell Drugs Too” was planned for a 2011 release but never happened.

Dr. Joyce Brothers, as she was always known professionally — a full-name hallmark of the more formal times in which she began her career — was widely described as the mother of mass-media psychology because of the firm, pragmatic and homiletic guidance she administered for decades via radio and television.

Historically, she was a bridge between advice columnists like Dear Abby and Ann Landers, who got their start in the mid-1950s, and the self-help advocates of the 1970s and afterward.

Throughout the 1960s, and long beyond, one could scarcely turn on the television or open a newspaper without encountering her. She was the host of her own nationally syndicated TV shows, starting in the late 1950s with “The Dr. Joyce Brothers Show” and over the years including “Ask Dr. Brothers,” “Consult Dr. Brothers” and “Living Easy With Dr. Joyce Brothers.”

She was also a ubiquitous guest on talk shows like “The Tonight Show” and on variety shows like “The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour.”

She was a panelist on many game shows, including “What’s My Line?” and “The Hollywood Squares.” These appearances had a fitting symmetry: It was as a game-show contestant that Dr. Brothers had received her first television exposure.

Playing herself, or a character very much like herself, she had guest roles on a blizzard of TV series, from “The Jack Benny Program” to “Happy Days,” “Taxi,” “Baywatch,” “Entourage” and “The Simpsons.”

She also lectured widely; had a call-in radio show, a syndicated newspaper column and a regular column in Good Housekeeping magazine; and wrote books.

Dr. Brothers arrived in the American consciousness (or, more precisely, the American unconscious) at a serendipitous time: the exact historical moment when cold war anxiety, a greater acceptance of talk therapy and the widespread ownership of television sets converged. Looking crisply capable yet eminently approachable in her pastel suits and pale blond pageboy, she offered gentle, nonthreatening advice on sex, relationships, parenting and all manner of decent behavior.

RIP Dr. Joyce and thank you for all your years of insightfulness .

“Did you plug the hole yet, Daddy?” said Beck, in a voice that was meant to mock Malia. Ask “Daddy” why he “hates black people so much.”

We can’t be mad that the brother is trying to turn this negative into positive!

“I am not gay,” Mister Cee told Hot 97 program director Ebro Darden when he appeared on the station’s morning show before he announced that he will go on a self-imposed suspension.

According to Cee, who was born Calvin Lebrun, before the arrest he was approached by an undercover female police officer as he pulled his car over in Brooklyn to make a phone call. The female offered up sex, which Cee claimed he declined. But the radio personality said he was actually the victim of a “sting operation.” “They tried to turn it around and say the female officer was a male officer. It was a sting operation,” he maintained, again refuting the gay rumors.

A representative for the NYPD could not confirm the gender of the undercover officer with MTV News, but did tell us the popular disc jock was charged with patronizing a prostitute in the third degree. Still, rumors of Cee’s homosexuality have continued to run rampant.

“Let’s say if I’m lying, that’s my choice,” Cee proposed, after a Hot 97 DJ began to play Aly-Us’ “Follow Me,” a ’90s dance record often associated with the gay club community. “If I’m lying and I chose not to come out, that’s my choice.”

Things began getting a little heated when Darden cast doubt and said that Cee was using “code talk.”

This isn’t the first time Cee, who was a pivotal figure in the careers of both Big Daddy Kane and the Notorious B.I.G., was rumored to be gay. Back in 2011, Cee plead guilty to loitering for the purpose of engaging in a prostitution offense. The prostitute was later identified as a 20-year-old male Lawrence Campbell, also known as Brook-Lyne.

Cee maintains that he is not gay and has never engaged in homosexual activity. He said he has been going to counseling for his prostitution addiction ever since.

With his latest drama, Cee elected to take a step back from radio for an undisclosed amount of time. “I’ma suspend myself, I’ma take myself off the radio,” he said. “I’ma take some time off and I’ma suspend myself.”
