Legendary Penn State coach Joe Paterno has died today from complications related to lung cancer. Coach Paterno was recently relieved of his duties as head coach of the Nittany Lions in november while the school was trying to sort out allegations of sexual misconduct committed by one of coach Paterno’s long time assistants Jerry Sandusky.
Coach Paterno spent neary 6 decades as the coach of Penn State and leaves a huge void for the fans of the Nittany Lion football program. Since the sexual misconduct allegations involve child molestation Joe Paterno’s legacy appears to be tainted because he was told of these allegations and did basically nothing.
We will never know how much Joe Paterno really knew about Sandusky and his disgusting acts, this is one secret that Paterno no doubt took to the grave.
